Rylan loves listening to opera music when Brian puts her to bed so... tonight we went to the OPERA. We made a big deal about Ry having a date night with Mom & Dad while Fyn stayed home with Aunt Essa. Ry did awesome until the first 5 minutes when there was a fight scene with fake gun shots and she got scared. The rest of the time she would have little spurts of, "Mommy I'm scared" "Mommy I want juice". We got some mean looks from this sassy lady in front of us. We had to leave at intermission but we had an amazing time. It was fun to have RY time. When we were walking out of the opera Ry would walk up to people and say, "Hi, my name is Rylan". It was so funny!
The other day we were meeting with the high school leaders and during prayer time Ry announces that she needs to go potty. I told her to go for it. She goes into her bathroom, picks up her potty and carries it into the MIDDLE of the circle we are sitting in, drops her pants and starts potting. It was HILARIOUS! She definitely put a new spin on prayer time. Love this girl!
So we finally did it! The fence has been one of the projects that we have NEEDED to do on the house for years. I was the one dragging my feet because they are so stinkin expensive but after all the fun times we have had outside in the backyard lately I finally decided it was time.
Ok so I know it has been so so long. I feel so far behind that I don't really know where to start. Here are some of the highlights from the past few months.
Sweet Rylan turned 2 on April 11th.
I was so nervous that Rylan was going to have to share her birthday with baby #2 but it turned out three days later on April 14th sweet Fynley McKee arrived!
Rylan has done a great job adjusting to being a big sister. There have been a few things that she has had to figure out the hard way, like what this machine is used for...
We have had some great time with Aunt Amanda
Rylan was a flower girl in Aunt BE's wedding. We miss her so much now that she has moved to Prague.
We drove to Florida to spend time with the Lonergan clan. Rylan loved spending time with her cousins.
Brian & I celebrated our 7 year annivesary. It is so much sweeter sharing it with Ry & Fyn and seeing how the Lord has blessed our family.
We went to the lake with the Morris family. Rylan sat on the front of the boat and would sing her heart out to Jesus. It was amazing!
Aunt Laura & Uncle Tim spent the summer with us. We had a great time. We sure did miss them when they left.
Aunt Amanda & Brian surprised me for my birthday. We went to San Antonio for some yummy mexican food & to see Shamu!
Ry went to her first day of school. She is going to MDO one day a week up at the church. It's great because Brian is up there and gets to watch her play on the playground with all her new friends.
Fynners rolled over a month earlier than Ry and is now sitting up. She loves chewing on "Soffe" her giraffe.
Rylan went golfing with Daddy, she actually made contact with the ball!
We went on our first family vacation just the 4 of us. The drive to Destin was a fun one especially since Rylan was potty training... many fun stories to tell from that adventure.
We have taken many trips to the Arboretum this Fall. The weather has been so beautiful.
We started feeding Fyn rice cereal after Ry put a pepperoni in her mouth. Ry is such a helpful and loving big sister.
So my sweet friend Amanda has been so great helping me get ready for Ry's 2nd birthday, Baby #2 & watching Ry while I go to all these extra doctors appointments. I really don't know what I would do without her. The other day while I was at the doctor the two of them went to the park. Apparently Rylan wanted to bring the little people from her doll house. Amanda said the little people had a great time sliding down the slide "Wheee".
Rylan wanted to climb but she had no place to put the people so they went into her pocket.
I'm sad I missed this crazy day at the park. It looks like they had fun though.
