Yum!

It's Snowing!

We woke up this morning & the ground was covered with snow! I quickly pulled Ry out of bed got her dressed & we headed outside to play. I can't tell who was more excited Ry or Brian, actually I know the answer...Brian. He immediately put Ry on his back and started playing polar bear, then I turned around and he was making snow angels. We quickly decided to take advantage of the large amount of snow (well for Texas) and make a snowman. Brian refused to wear gloves of course. We decided to make a candy snow man so his eyes were made out of York peppermint patties, his nose a sucker & his smile was Hersey kisses. It was hard to keep Rylan from eating the candy. The snow is still coming down. We have probably gotten 3 to 4 inches of snow so far.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our first trips!

There are a few staples from my childhood that I was so excited to introduce Rylan to. One was the LuAnn platter at Luby's (fried fish, mac & cheese & fried okra) healthy choices I know! While I was attempting to push her through the line in the high chair, push the tray full of food, and manever around my big diaper bag & belly she somehow grabbed the red jello. She has never had jello before and it seemed to be entertaining her so I let her have it. She is still not a big eater so I was really excited she found something she liked. We finally made it to our table & she LOVED the mac & cheese. Toward the end of lunch she moved in her high chair & I look down to find that she did eat the jello, she was actually sitting on it. I cannot begin to tell you how messy it was. We left Luby's with jello everywhere! I'm talking, socks, diaper, hair, mom's hair. My sweet friends Katie & Kandace just watched the show in amazement. Here is a picture of our first experience.

 

The next tradition I could not wait to pass on was Chucky Cheese. My sweet friend Amanda was dying to go so we all packed up and headed to Chucky Cheese on a Saturday night. I cannot begin to tell you how crowded it was. Here is Rylan on her first ride. This was actually the only one she let us put her on. I will say she did like the singing mouse too.
