Halloween

I was so excited for Rylan to carve her first pumpkin. She wanted nothing to do with it.

Her dad on the other hand LOVED it. I had no idea that my husband had won blue ribbons in elementary school for his pumpkin masterpieces. I drew out the pumpkin & Brian carved it. He was making fun of the crooked way I wrote our name.

The finished product!

Family Fall Fest

This year our church went all out for the Family Fall Fest. We had a great time. Rylan did not like the horses but she loved bouncing in the bounce houses. She looked super cute in her giraffe outfit (thanks Holly).

God is so Great!

So I'm still struggling with how I want to record all of the important events that happen in Rylan's childhood. I like the blog idea but then I think it would be special to have a journal so that she can read it one day & see our handwriting. I guess I'll just stick to blogging for now.

Tonight we had a night of worship at the church & the minister invited people to stand up who had a testimony they wanted to share. There was one girl who stood up and she began telling us that she just moved to Dallas & she has been looking for a church home. She said she came to church for the first time last week and right when she walked in the door this blonde hair girl ran up to her and gave her a hug. She said from that moment she felt very welcome and at home. Well it turned out that the sweet girl was Rylan. It brings tears to my eyes to see how the Lord is using her at a year and a half. I pray constantly for her to have a positive impact for the kingdom. It is so neat to see how the Lord is already answering those prayers and using her. God is so Great!

Fun day at the Arboredum

Friday's are our favorite day of the week because Daddy is home. It has been so beautiful the last few weeks that we have gone to the Arboredum for picnics. This time of year they have a bagillion pumpkins, it was fun taking Fall pictures.

While Mom is away...

So for my 30th birthday I went to Hawaii with some good friends. We had an amazing time. My sweet grandma Jessie & Papa came to watch Rylan the first part of the week & then my mom, Lou Lou came the second half. She had a great time. I doubt she missed me at all.

She turned into a dancing machine while I was gone. She even learned how to dip her baby.

When Jessie & Papa were here Ry got to eat some "good" cookin'.

Outdoor Fun

My sweet Aunt Joy LOVES planting flowers. She says it brings her closer to her mother, my Getcha. We took advantage of her gift and asked her to plant some flowers in our backyard. Rylan loves to water the flowers. She goes out with her Daddy everyday. It's really sweet time for the two of them.

We also got the swing set up in the backyard. After many attempts Brian has rigged it to swing straighter although it's still not pefect. We are beginning to think Its not the swing but the kid.

Papa's Shoes

Gotta love this smile!

Papa & Jessie are in town to visit & Ry decided to put on Papa's shoes today. That girl loves shoes. She has these red watermelon shoes that she adores. She will find one & bring it to me, I'll put it on then she will walk lopsided around the house until she finds the other one.
